HyperOS coming to 26 Xiaomi devices in India: Is yours on the list?

Xiaomi unveils the complete list of devices in India getting the HyperOS update, including popular models like the Mi 10 and Redmi Note 11 series.

Xiaomi has revealed the complete list of devices eligible for the HyperOS update in India during the A Human X Car X Home Ecosystem event held on Thursday. According to Xiaomi, HyperOS is already available for seven devices in India, including popular smartphones like the Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 6, and Redmi 12.

The HyperOS update will be available for over 26 devices in India, which includes older devices like the Xiaomi 11 Ultra and even the Mi 10, which was launched back in 2020.

Xiaomi is known for offering extensive support for its products. However, for older devices, Xiaomi used to offer MIUI updates based on a previous version of Android, and right now, it is not clear if the HyperOS update for older smartphones will be based on Android 14, just like the new devices such as the Xiaomi 13 Pro and the Xiaomi Pad 6.

The company has also confirmed that recently launched devices like the Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G in March, along with the Xiaomi 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Other popular devices like the Mi 11X, Xiaomi Pad 5, Redmi Note 11 series, and more devices will get a HyperOS update in the second quarter of 2024.

HyperOS is MIUI’s successor from Xiaomi, which introduces some new features like a customisation lock screen, AI features within the gallery app, and a lighter operating system that consumes less storage space compared to MIUI. Xiaomi is also launching its flagship Xiaomi 14 (first impression), powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with a Leica camera on March 7, and the device will ship with HyperOS out of the box.
