Bankrolled by Lyca Productions and directed by Cibi Chakaravarthi, Don features Sivakarthikeyan which is all set to release on May 13.
Sivakarthikeyan, SJ Suryah, Soori, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Sivaangi and Bala Saravanan are among the cast of the film, which will be directed by debutant director Cibi Chakaravarthi. Composed by Anirudh, the film is jointly produced by Sivakarthikeyan’s SK Productions and Lyca Productions.
The makers had decided to release the film on March 25, as all work on the film was completed late last year. But on the same day SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster film RRR was released. Lyca Productions had also acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical distribution license of RRR. Thus the release date of Don film has been postponed to May 13th. Following this, Lyca Productions thanked Sivakarthikeyan.
Sony Music has acquired the audio rights of Don. Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giants has acquired the Tamil distribution rights for the film.
Sivakarthikeyan plays a college student while SJ Suryah will be seen as a college principal. Don has evolved into a film with an emphasis on comedy and romance. The film has a huge following among the youth. Songs like ‘Jalabulajangu’ and ‘Bae’ were released and have hit social media.
It has been announced that the third single ‘Private Party’ will be released tomorrow at 5 pm. A short video of the 15 second song has also been released. The song’s lyrics is penned by Sivakarthikeyan and composed by Anirudh. The song is crooned by the Arabic Kuthu combo – Jonita Gandhi and Anirudh.
