Called ‘Aloud’, the AI powered dubbing tool currently supports English, Portuguese and Spanish with Google planning to add more languages like Hindi.
YouTube is getting a new feature which will help creators dub videos in other languages. On Thursday at VidCon 2023, the online video-sharing platform announced that it will be using Aloud, a product from Google’s in-house Area 120 incubator.
Last year, Google introduced Aloud, an AI-powered dubbing product that can automatically transcribe a video and produce a dubbed version of the same. It also offers the option to review and edit the transcription before generating the dub. Until now, content creators had to rely on third-party apps or providers if they wanted to make videos in different languages.
Here’s a video dubbed by Aloud. To change the audio track, simply click on the gear icon, tap on Audio Track and choose the language you want to hear the video in.
