Bigg Boss Tamil fame Bindu Madhavi and Raiza Wilson are coming together in a mythology-based film that will revolve around the world of snakes. The film, titled Naga, will be directed by Antony Charles.
He tells us, “This film is a thriller on the lines of The Da Vinci Code, where mythology and modern-day events come together. Just like how we had Chera, Chozha and Pandiya Nadu in the ancient days, there was also a Naga Nadu. It is something that even history books don’t mention that much. The coastal regions of Nagapattinam, Nagore and surrounding areas formed this region. The film is a fictional exploration of the connection between this region and the mythological Nagalogam, the world of snakes.”
Bindu Madhavi will appear in a portion that is set in a village 1,500 years ago. “Her character will face a problem and how she transforms while trying to face it will be the arc,” says the director. Srikanth plays an archaeologist who connects mythology to happenings in the real world. Raiza’s character will have some suspense, he says. “Hers is the second lead and it will be something that is connected to mythology,” adds Charles.
Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Hindi TV actor Rikin Saigal (who will be seen as the antagonist) and Vijay Nelliz will be seen in crucial supporting roles.
