Bankrolled by John Max and Jonas under the banner of Shalom studios, Andrea Jeremiah will feature as the leading artist in the upcoming movie ‘Kaa’. Andrea dons the role of a Wildlife photographer whose job is to capture the lifestyle and characteristics of the intense beasts of the jungle. The project is said to be a purely heroine based subject.
Kaa literally means Kaadu, Kaanagam in Tamil, meaning jungle or forest in English. The Director of Photography is Arivazhagan, whereas the music is composed by Amresh. The story, screenplay, dialogues, and direction are all handled by Director Nanjil.
Though helming a fast paced direction phase, Director Nanjil has shared a few words about the movie. According to the words of the director, the movie is said to be completely based on the forest and that currently the final stages of shoot are underway.
Munnar’s dense forests were the location of ‘Kaa’ at first, Nanjil mentioned, where profound shooting was held at nighttime. Then, unexpectedly an elephant had visited the set, and the forest guard who had accompanied the crew had chased it away. Nanjil mentioned that such risks were taken to complete the shooting of most of the sequences.
30 days of intensified shooting in the areas of thick forest where no one would have even dreamed of entering is where the film had been shot. As the result of the same, the sequences are expected to make a dramatic visual impact on the audience when the movie hits the screens. The elegance of the close knit forests is visualized in a completely different angle, according to the words of Director Nanjil.
The audio rights to the film have been acquired by Saregama. The director has already announced that there will be no songs in the film and that Andrea will be seen in only one costume throughout the film.
The film is said to have been shot in the Andamans, the Western Ghats and Jharkhand. Launched in 2018, the film has been filming for 4 years and is slated for a 2022 release.
