Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.81%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Real EstateChemicals and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 2.81%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which rose 4.87% or 6.8 points to trade at 145.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 4.37% or 29.3 points to end at 700.5 and Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) was up 4.24% or 29.20 points to 718.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH), which fell 0.53% or 2.8 points to trade at 523.0 at the close. Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) declined 0.11% or 0.5 points to end at 440.5 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was down 0.04% or 0.1 points to 128.7.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 117 to 48 and 8 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.04% or 0.92 to $87.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.84% or 0.75 to hit $88.41 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 7.20 to trade at $1808.70 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.23% to 6.5854, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4384.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 96.037.
