Google Lens now lets you identify skin conditions from images captured on phones

With the new feature, millions of people will be able to instantly identify their skin-related conditions.

Tech giant Google has been on a roll as it has been consecutively introducing cutting-edge technologies to make life better. Based on the latest reports, Google has expanded the capabilities of its computer vision-powered app – Google Lens. A convenient app to run quick image searches or translations, Google Lens offers information about objects that are clicked using your smartphone camera.

Now, the app has leapt forward and lets users utilise it to search and identify skin conditions. Google Lens is capable of identifying conditions such as moles and rashes simply by uploading pictures. The functionality is hailed as a breakthrough as it can help millions of people to identify a wide range of skin conditions that may be difficult to describe such as hair loss, lip bumps, etc. It is to be noted that this feature is no substitute for professional medical diagnostics.
