It is a contextually-aware chatbot that is designed for developers and fits into the Integrated development environment. Some of its features include code analysis, simple troubleshooting and personalised assistance.
GitHub terms the launch of Copilot Chat as the first step in bringing Copilot X to enterprise companies. Copilot X is a chatbot that was developed in partnership with OpenAI and uses its cutting-edge GPT-4. Some of the key features of Copilot Chat touted by GitHub are as follows.
Copilot Chat will offer context-specific support to developers. This means that when engineers are stuck on a particular code snippet or need guidance on a specific programming concept, they can look to the chatbot for help.
