Out of two variants, India might get the Exynos 2400 powered Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+.
Just a few days ahead of the Galaxy S24 series launch, several reports now claim that the India variant of the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ will be based on the Exynos 2400 SoC and not the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. However, the more expensive Galaxy S24 Ultra is reported to include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy with a slightly higher clock speed compared to the regular chip featured on other Android phones.
The recent leak by svztechinfo corroborates with the earlier leaks, indicating, there will be two versions of the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+, based on either the Exynos 2400, which is Samsung’s in-house flagship chip or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. In India, Samsung is now reported to launch the Exynos variant.
Despite the use of different chipsets, the Snapdragon and the Exynos variants of the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ are expected to offer similar performance. However, considering the Galaxy S22, the Snapdragon variant might offer better power efficiency compared to the Exynos variant.
The leak also highlights that all variants of the Galaxy S24 series will include a flat LTPO panel with variable refresh rate technology (1Hz to 120Hz), while the Galaxy S24 will feature an FHD+ resolution screen, the Galaxy S24+ and the Galaxy S24 Ultra will include a QHD+ resolution screen.
The Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ will have a triple camera setup at the back with a 50 MP primary sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 10 MP telephoto zoom lens with 3x optical zoom. Similarly, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a 200 MP primary sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 10 MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 50 MP 5x periscope zoom lens. All three variants are reported to include a 12 MP selfie camera with support for up to 4K video recording.
Out of all three, the Galaxy S24+ might receive the biggest hardware upgrade, with a high-resolution display and a large 5,000 mAh battery, identical to the one on the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
These smartphones are already available for pre-booking for just Rs 2,000, where, Samsung will offer additional benefits for those, who pre-order the upcoming phones before the official launch. The company will make these smartphones official at the Samsung Unpacked event on January 17 in New York.
