The latest version of Google Clock offers new features like the ability to show weather forecast after alarms and alarm sync between phone and Pixel Watch.
Google is rolling out some new features to its Clock app. The latest version of the app (Clock v7.6) now includes a weather forecast toggle and the ability to sync alarms with WearOS devices.
According to a post by Mishaal Rehman on X (formerly Twitter), when setting up a new alarm, the Clock app shows a new option called ‘Weather Forecast’, which shows the local weather information when the alarm is dismissed.
However, weather forecast currently seems to be appearing for a handful of users who have the new Pixel Weather app preinstalled, meaning it is available for only Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro running on Android 14 QPR1 beta.
An update to the Google Clock app is rolling out that adds the following features:
* A new “weather forecast” toggle when setting an alarm. When the alarm is dismissed, the Clock app will show you the weather forecast for the day.
* A new “alarm sync” option in settings. This… pic.twitter.com/eyBRfiVVvT

After enabling the ‘local weather on the clock’ option, the app will start showing weather information for different cities on the ‘World’ clock widget and the ‘Clock’ tab. While it may be limited to the Pixel 8 series for now, rumour has it that Google might make it available for Pixel 5a and newer with the December 2023 Pixel Feature Drop.
The tech giant also added an ‘alarm sync option’ that allows you to sync alarms between your phone and Pixel Watch. Rehman says the feature works with both the Pixel Watch on wearOS 3 and the Pixel Watch 2 on WearOS 4.
Users who have more than one watch connected to their phone can also choose which wearable they want to sync alarms with and choose to ring both the phone and watch or just the wearable using ‘Adaptive ringing’. Google also seems to have introduced some new UI changes, with the home clock now centred. Earlier, it was aligned to the left side of the screen.
