Meta just made discovering reels easier on Facebook

Facebook now allows users to chose the reels that they would like to consume using new features.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has rolled out a major update to improve reel discovery. According to the company, users share more than 2 million reels per day, and Meta is making it even easier to do so. The company has also announced new features to further boost reach, as reels continue to grow.

With the latest UI update, reels have been added to the main navigation at the top of the Facebook Watch page, giving users quick access to watch, discover creators, and select trends that match their interests. Meta has also introduced contextual labels, which show why a specific reel has been shown.

In addition, Meta is offering more control to users. They can now choose the type of reel they are interested in, and select “show less” or “show more” on a specific reel. This helps Facebook recommend the right sort of content based on the audience’s interests. Meta will also use this feedback to better rank a reel, allowing creators to get better feedback directly from users and make the right content that works.
