Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.96%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the CommunicationTechnology and Banking sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.96% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which rose 6.09% or 316.00 points to trade at 5,509.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Nova (TASE:NVMI) added 3.84% or 1,310.00 points to end at 35,400.00 and Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN) was up 3.66% or 56.00 points to 1,588.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 2.90% or 74.00 points to trade at 2,475.00 at the close. Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) declined 2.40% or 125.00 points to end at 5,075.00 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was down 1.89% or 17.30 points to 898.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 306 to 180 and 28 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.85% or 2.85 to $97.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.14% or 2.29 to hit $104.63 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 11.10 to trade at $1,711.30 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.26% to 3.45, while EUR/ILS rose 0.34% to 3.51.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 106.82.
