Premier League club Manchester United on Thursday announced the appointment of Erik ten Hag as its new full time manager. The Dutchman, who has been the manager at Ajax Amsterdam since 2017, will take over from interim manager Ralph Rangnick at the end of the season. His contract runs till June 2025. He has won the Dutch Eredivisie twice with Ajax and has also won the domestic Cup in Netherlands twice. He also guided a young Ajax team to the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League in the 2018-19 season.
“Manchester United is delighted to announce the appointment of Erik ten Hag as Men’s First Team Manager, subject to work visa requirements, from the end of this season until June 2025, with the option to extend for a further year,” the club stated in a release that it put out on Twitter
